Juanette (Nette) Appleton - Ivy

CEO / Owner / Founder

Juanette (Nette) is the owner and founder of Unique TECHniques, LLC. Nette has worked in the Information Technology sector for well over 20 years. She received her certification in Computer Operations and obtained her Bachelors of Science degree in Technical Management from DeVry University in 2011. She's also a certified Information Security Analyst where she obtained her certification from America Business College of Business & IT Training.

Nette has worked in computer recycling since 2018 where she learned and trained at FreeGeek Chicago, NFP. Shortly afterwards, she became the Executive Director and Operations Manager for the same organization in 2019 until it's closure in 2022.

Nette started Unique TECHniques after noticing a desperate need for computer recycling in the state of Illinois. To her surprise, people in the state of Illinois did not know it's illegal to put computers in trash dumpsters! She was also surprised by the number of people who use a "junk drawer" to collect old mobile tablets and phones. Hence, the birth of Unique TECHniques.
